Beginner Permanent Makeup Training at Hybrid Makeup

If you’ve been thinking about starting a career in permanent makeup, my beginner training courses are designed to give you the best possible start. With over 23 years of experience in the beauty industry, 8 years specialising in permanent makeup, and a strong background in art and design, I know exactly what it takes to not only master the technical skills but also to create work that looks beautifully natural and lasts.

I’ve also experienced poor training myself, which is why I’m so determined to change the industry for the better. My mission is to give beginners high-quality, in-depth training so that they leave feeling confident, supported, and proud of the treatments they can deliver.

I offer four tailored beginner courses to suit different levels of learning:

2-Day Brow, Lip Blush or Eyeliner Course

Perfect if you want to focus on just one area of permanent makeup — either brows, lips, or eyeliner. In this focused 2-day course you’ll learn:

• Mapping for brows, lips or eyeliner

• Powder/ombre brow method or lip blush technique or eyeliner/lash enhancement

• Colour theory tailored to your chosen treatment

• Consultation skills and aftercare guidance

• Hands-on practice on live models

By the end of the 2 days, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to start offering your chosen treatment to clients. This option works well as an add-on if you already offer other PMU treatments.

3-Day Intensive Brows or Lip Blush Course

Designed for beginners who want to build a strong foundation and focus on either brows or lip blush. Across 3 days you’ll cover:

• Mapping and shaping techniques for brows or lips

• Brow hair stroke and powder/ombre methods or lip blush techniques and shading

• Colour theory specific to brows or lips

• Consultation skills and aftercare guidance

• Hands-on practice on live models

By the end of the 3 days, you’ll be confident to start offering either brow or lip treatments professionally.

4-Day Brows & Lip Blush Course

This combined course is ideal if you want to learn both brows and lip blush. It includes everything from the 3-day intensive plus more in-depth lip training and additional practice. You’ll learn:

• Brow mapping, shaping, and powder/ombre methods

• Lip blush techniques, including soft shading methods

• Understanding lip anatomy and pigment selection

• Advanced client consultation and care

• Extended hands-on practice with live models

You’ll leave with a wider treatment offering, opening the door to a broader client base.

5-Day Full Face PMU Beginner Course

My most in-depth and comprehensive option, covering brows, lips, and eyeliner for those who want to master the full range of beginner PMU skills. Over 5 days, you’ll gain:

• Brow treatments: mapping, powder/ombre, and hairstroke techniques

• Lip blush application and advanced colour theory

• Eyeliner and lash enhancement techniques with safe application

• Full face design and balance for natural results

• Business guidance, marketing tips, and setting up your PMU career

• Extended practical sessions with live models

By the end of this course, you’ll have the confidence, knowledge, and practical experience to launch your career as a permanent makeup artist with a full treatment menu.  This course gives you the strongest possible start, preparing you to confidently offer full-face permanent makeup treatments and build a successful business.
