Microblading

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi permanent brow tattoo using a tool to create hairstrokes. It is all about creating the best shape for each face  and a totally bespoke approach for each client.

The process is very precise and accurate thanks to the tool that is used which is effectively like a pen with the nib being a sloped blade with 10-12 little needles at the end - needles that don’t penetrate the skin but just delicately scratch the surface, much like a paper cut.

The needle very finely implants featherweight strokes with a medical grade pigment on the upper layer of the dermis of your skin, creating fine, realistic and natural hairstrokes.  The brow shape and thickness will be mapped to suit you and your facial proportions and based on your preference.  All semi permanent makeup and microblading treatments are bespoke.

Microblading 8973How Long Does it Last?

Microblading lasts anything between 12-18 months, but the longevity of the pigment will depend on your skin type. People with slightly more oily skin will tend to last around the 9 month mark before needing a top up, but those with normal skin can last up to 18 months.

Your brows will eventually fade away if you don’t continue with Colour Boosts every 12 months or so. There is no scarring or discolouration with the pigments used, so you wouldn’t know if you left them to fade out.

Who is it suitable for?

Microblading is best suited to a drier skintype.  Preferably ages between 18-45 have best results with microblading.  Oily skin is not suitable as the strokes will not stay crisp and may also not stay in the skin.

Does it Hurt?

It is generally very comfoprtable with clients often falling asleep.  Most people describe it as a scratching sensation.  On a scale of 1 -10 (10 being most painful) most of my clients put this at a 4.

What is the cost?

£320 this includes your topup taken within 6-12 weeks of your first appointment.
